Detox Water: Part Three

Detox water - Part Three

Detox water – Orange and blueberries

Everyone has it own opinion about beauty. In fact beauty to me it is not only about appearance but it is also about loving and caring about your body from within because there is no point using make up on your face and completely neglect your nutrition. Whenever I make detox waters I call them “body pampering”. This particular detox water is really easy to make and cheap, too.

All you need is 2 big oranges which are good for your body because full of vitamins, fibers, minerals. They help lower the cholesterol, they are good for your eyes because full of Carotenoid and lower the risk of diseases (due to the vitamin C).

1/2 cup of blueberries on the other hand are full of antioxidants (one of most antioxidants food in the world), full of manganese crucial for the bones, full of fiber which help lower the cholesterol and full of vitamin C (crucial for the immune system).

There you go, water with oranges and blueberries “simple” as that. I usually have it for about 2 days.

Please tell me what do you do when you want to treat yourself (in terms of beauty) I would love to know! 🙂

I hope you will like this version of detox water as much as I do! 🙂

  2. Great work there. Detox is good for you, for your liver and kidneys especially. These are the vital organs that help in toxic removal from the body. Also a great picture, and a very refreshing drink fro people. Not all people like water, as they want some flavor. A great drink for flavor and much better alternative than water. Keep up the good work:)

  7. This is great, thanks for sharing! I also use lemons or cucumbers as well. I have also heard that using warm water with lemon is a great detox for the liver and kidneys. Any thoughts on using a water filter vs. tap water? I have a Brita water filter, but I am not sure if the cost is worth it.

    1. Thank you Nancy at food mingle… for the nice words, I use the water I buy at the supermarket definitely not the tap water. The Brita water filter is ok, anyway you can use whatever you feel comfortable with but I always consider these type of detox water as a treat for myself so the better the quality the best results! Best wishes,
      Alice 🙂

  14. Dearest Alice, I like orange juice & blueberries. The freshness of freshly squeezed orange is very refreshing.
The ascorbic acid of vitamin C of orange may be too strong for a family member who suffers from an occasional gastric, so I often make apple celery juice for detox, and occasionally celery-apple-mandarin-cam-juice.
