Organic Jam – Simple Labelled food so decadent

Organic Jam

Food is one of my favourite things in life and I enjoy it even more when I know what’s in it!  Whenever I go to the supermarket and grocery store I prefer looking at the labels before buying stuff. Whenever I can, I completely avoid preservatives or colorants and  prefer “simple labelled” food over 100 un-known chemicals ingredients. That is why I wanted to share with you this product I bought in a small shop in London, 3 weeks ago. If you read carefully the label  states: Organic Blackberry Organic Jam Ingredients- (Blackberries, Sugar, Sicilian Lemon Juice) and it wasn’t even expensive (around  £2.59). I can assure you the taste was wonderful ” in fact we  finished it  in 4 days”.

The world has changed so much that we are nicely surprised when we encounter simple things like this!

  1. Totally agree with you! And I am also the kind of person that cares a lot about what I eat and always look at the labels before I before, same thing applies for the fruits. Here in Germany I have discovered a lot of nice things at the supermarket, always trying something new 🙂

  5. It’s always better to have natural items rolling down to your belly than a greasy snack or one with preservative. I prefer everything fresh and that’s why my mom makes this sumptuous and savoury apple jam for me every season. Reading this post remimded its taste to me 🙂 . But too bad I am left with none to actually have some 😦

  11. today i read an article on how labeling in mexico makes impossible even for experts to know what the product has… i also love the type of label that goes “maple syrup. ingredients: maple syrup”
it’s the way it should always be!!

  14. Simplest is almost always best! This straight-forward jam sounds like such a treat. It’s ridiculous how hard it is to find jam with so few ingredients, which really highlights the fresh fruit.

    1. I agree with you, when I found this few ingredients jam which didn’t cost too much, I felt quite lucky. I wish this kind of food was more accessible.

  15. I do the same. If the list is so long and I don’t recognize the ingredients then I put it back on the shelf. There are too many fresh, delish options.
