Detox water – apple and cinnamon
I like detox water a lot, not only because of the multi benefits your body gets but also the water tastes so much better. I am not good at drinking water but lately I am drinking a lot of detox water and it tastes really nice. The past week I have been drinking this version and I must say, I loved the flavour combination of apple and cinnamon.
To make this detox water you will need:
Cinnamon (I put only half teaspoon in 1 lt of water) – it regulates the blood sugar, so it is perfect for diabetics and hypoglycemic, it reduces the harmful cholesterol thus helping reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, a lot of studies have discovered that cinnamon has been effective against ulcer, it is a natural food preservative and proven to be effective against menstrual pain.
Apple ( I put 4 slices of apple in 1 lt but it is up to you) – apple decreases your risk of diabetes, reduces cholesterol, helps for a healthier heart, detoxifsy your liver and helps your immune system.
I must say I would definitely drink this type of water than those we find at the supermarket, it is cheap, it needs only two ingredients we have at the kitchen and is natural. I am trying to avoid drinking and eating artificial ingredients as much as I can for me and my family and replacing them instead with simple, natural and healthier ones and I must say it is a pleasant challenge!
I hope you will like this version of detox water as much as I do! 🙂
Definitely going to try this. I hate drinking plain water so this should help! 🙂

Thank you so much Linda for the nice words and liking my detox waters. I find them quite nice and drink them instead of drinking plain water. I really hope you will like, the beauty of them is that you can combine different ingredients together. I think good detox waters and good alimentation is a winner!

I have this in my fridge now. I make it a little different 1 gallon with a whole fuji apple sliced and 2 cinnamon sticks. I let it sit overnight and we drink it the next 2 days refilling it when it gets 1/2 way and then the 2nd day not refilling and making new batch. My kids even love it!! Great post!!

I really love cinnamon and have it on my porridge in the morning…I never thought of trying it in water but maybe I will! Though, I have no problem drinking water straight or sometimes with lemon in it 🙂

It was a nice surprise for me, too because the water tasted really nice, the cinnamon is not overpowering and mixed with the apple really well. I think it is a nice and healthy alternative. 🙂 I am really happy you liked it.

Taking note here, since suffering from severe pancreatitis, makes you really look at what your intake of food and beverage is.

Totally agree with you, in the “health” drink from the store sometimes you can find lots of chimics not health ingredients inside 😦
