Detox Water-Strawberry and Rosemary
It has been such a nice weather, the past 2 weeks, in the UK and so I have been looking for a type of detox water which would help get rid of toxins but even refresh, give strength and energy to my body. I have tried a lot of detox waters but I found this one very special as the flavour of strawberries and rosemary together is absolutely delicious and the aroma and the perfume is beyond compare. I was pleasantly surprised!
To make this simple, delicious and refreshing detox water you will need:
1 lt of water ( I don’t use tap water but you can use whatever you prefer)
3-4 Strawberries sliced( I managed to find the organic ones)
1 sprig of fresh Rosemary
Strawberries are high in fiber, help burn the stored fat, lower cardiovascular disease, contain potassium, vitamin K and magnesium so it is very good for your bones.
Rosemary- a good source of vitamin B6, iron and calcium, improve digestion, rich source of antioxidants and inflammatory compounds, helps memory and concentration and can help promoting eye health.
Please do give it a go, I am sure that once you leave it 1 -2 hour in the fridge and try it after, you won’t be disappointed, this drink it is very good for you, it has fresh ingredients and it is beautiful to look at! 🙂
Please let me know what do you think!!!
Enjoy!
I’ll be interested to try this! Looks beautiful too!

I would have never thought of this flavor combo, Alice! It looks so refreshing! I’ve been doing green tea with fresh ginger and mint. Have to keep hydrated in this 100+ degree weather! But thank goodness the heat cooled down yesterday. Phew! 😀

You’re a woman after my own heart ! I absolutely love these ! Except I call them Fruit Infused Waters instead of Detox waters. Although well, they’re quite both actually .
I’m not a person who can maintain a healthy appetite for solid food during the summer, but I like to keep drinking something nice, cool, and flavourful. But then I’m not a big fan of colas or sodas and juices just seem too heavy and then lemonade and iced tea become boring after a while. Isn’t it ?
I’ve tried many of these infusions. Melon and Basil. Melon and Mint. Watermelon and Basil. Mandarin and Mint. Lime and Mint. Peach and Mandarin. Mango and Lime. Strawberry and Mint.
But my favourite being a simple and strong Spearmint Infusion.
I am definitely going to try these new kinds from your blog. Thanks much x

Yet another good use for a strawberry, one of my favourite fruits. I just wish the garden slugs and assorted birds wouldn’t get to them first.

This looks lovely. A very inviting detox. Happen to have some strawberries and rosemary outside. Should I do anything to the rosemary to help release the oils, like squish it with a rolling pin or will they release okay in cold water? Thanks for liking my just now post. I really appreciate it. 🙂
LikeLike
You are very welcome Yasmin! I don’t usually squish it because I like rosemary flavour to be quite gentle and mix naturally with the strawberry flavour! I find sometimes rosemary to be quite strong so I prefer not to but if you like the rosemary to be predominant than squish it (a little bit).
Best wishes,
Alice
