Weekly Photo Challenge: Between the 2 red and sweet strawberries

Yesterday me and my husband went to a very big local farm where you can pick your own fruits and vegetables and then pay as you leave. It is basically a do it yourself  organic supermarket. 🙂 Since only a specific type of fruits were ready to pick we had the possibility to pick some sweet and red strawberries, raspberries and gooseberries. As I was picking some strawberries I noticed this strawberry growing in the middle of 2 other red and ripened ones. I fell in love with the color contrast, it was like 2 adult strawberries taking care and protecting the new one jealously.

Fresh Strawberries

I had an amazing day at the farm, the weather was sunny, you could smell the fresh air and hear no traffic noise just birds singing. It was a nice way of spending Saturday and definitely recharge your batteries.

Carpe Diem!!!

  10. this is a wonderful experience; i really look forward to picking blackberries later this summer when the come ripe, as well! I often take a couple afternoons to pick a whole stash of them and freeze them for the winter for oatmeal etc. Glad you had a blast.

  14. Great pictures, but what I found out even more interesting is the concept of that market. Never heard of it, think is great though.

    1. Yes, I love it, too. It is really fun and there were so many sweet fruits (strawberries, raspberries and gooseberries) as this is their picking season now. But yeah I loved the simplicity and the fresh air everywhere.
