Detox Water-Strawberry and Rosemary It has been such a nice weather, the past 2 weeks, in the UK and so I have been looking for a type of detox water which would help get rid of toxins but even refresh, give strength and energy to my body. I have tried a lot of […]

Detox Water: Part Four
Detox water – apple and cinnamon I like detox water a lot, not only because of the multi benefits your body gets but also the water tastes so much better. I am not good at drinking water but lately I am drinking a lot of detox water and it tastes really nice. The past week I […]
Organic Jam – Simple Labelled food so decadent
Food is one of my favourite things in life and I enjoy it even more when I know what’s in it! Whenever I go to the supermarket and grocery store I prefer looking at the labels before buying stuff. Whenever I can, I completely avoid preservatives or colorants and prefer “simple labelled” food over 100 […]
There is going to be food? Ok I’ll come!
Appetizer with egg, tuna and cheese Recipe I think everyone relates food or specific recipes to memories and whenever you make them again, it seems like you smell the same odours or experience the same moment of that particular time. This very easy recipe it is very special to me as I used to do […]
Sweet Easter memories and the chocolate bunny!
There is no Easter for me without chocolate, chocolate eggs, or other unhealthy food you find in the groceries. I have always had an incredible amount of food during Easter but this specific year will be a bit different as me and my husband will be alone and will celebrate it alone.
Treating myself the Italian way!
The sweetest cherry tomatoes, Bufalo mozzarella, Parma ham (no preservatives), Tuscany crusty bread….. I don’t need anything else!!!!!! 🙂
The Versatile Blogger Award
I have been recently nominated by a wonderful blogger Micaela Cremonesi easyitaliancuisine.com (the blog is all about easy and authentic Italian cuisine where every recipe is explained very clear and accompanied by nice photos) for the “The Versatile Blogger Award”.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Threshold
I was just about to start eating the whole pizza, but I couldn’t resist the first bite before taking the photo! Lol 🙂
English Vs Italian (Tea break), Let the battle begin!!!
What do you prefer during your tea break? An English cup of tea with some biscuits or an Italian espresso coffee with a Sicilian Cannolo dessert?
After work: A quick healthy snack
After a hard day from work, I usually am really hungry and due to this, I try really hard not to eat easy accessible junk food (like crisps or chocolate bars).
Exploring new horizons
Noodles means new flavours for me, I am not used to eating beansprouts either but I am really enjoying the combinations between the soya sauce, vegetables, prawns and noodles. The noodles in the photo are my very first attempt, (so people used to eating and cooking noodles, bare with me, I will try to improve) 🙂
Detox water: Part Two
Detox water – Cucumber and lemon This is an easy, cheap but very effective way of purifying your body from the unwanted toxins. The water is accompanied simply by lemons slices, cucumber and mint leaves.
3 casual continents on a dish
Salmon couscous with stir-fry vegetables Since today it is Friday (my favourite day of the week by the way) we decided to cook something really different and interesting. As enjoyed it a lot, I thought why not share it with everyone.
I believe, I trust, I appreciate……
I feel like there is a magical and strong power surrounding the word “believe”, I don’t know why but it makes you feel so small in front of it. Believing into someone or something is taking part into something which is uncontrollable ( you can’t help yourself not deeply feeling it) and unknown to you […]
The Young Old Lady, Mrs.Thopmson
The yellow pages of the book still have that lovely smell that she used to like when she first bought it. While turning the page to chapter 10 Mrs.Thompson suddenly noticed her hand, the colour, the shape, even the rings she used to wear were different.
How to avoid pulling your colleague’s hair!
Ok, lets deal with a problem which I think everyone faces everyday at work with colleagues or better to say people you are obliged to work together. When you first start working, the first days it feels like you have found the best job in the world, everyone is kind, helpful and ready to […]
Weekly Photo Challenge-Abandoned
I always forget about trees left completely abandoned during winter but this week I noticed some little green leaves timidly growing. I was really surprised.
Why do people like Spring?
You wake up in the morning, you open the window and you feel a light breeze going through your hair, you hear the birds singing happily and you feel like they want to inform you something really. Spring is “next door”.
Moving in another country
I was in my kitchen the other day and as I was drinking a cup of tea (green tea and pomegranate) and I suddenly realised that I haven’t had my italian espresso for a long time now.
My name is Alice I am 29 years old. I live with my husband in UK, since we moved in 2 years ago from Italy. Everyday we are facing new experiences some of them challenging and other exiting. We got married in the beautiful city of Rome in 2012 on the hottest day ever and […]
